Type K
Pointer styli are a form of straight styli in which the ball radius is close to zero. When probing, it should be noted that surfaces can very easily be damaged by the tip, which is itself very sensitive to wear or damage. These probes can detect roughness to a limited extent. However, they are mainly used for small probing surfaces or self-centering probing of bores.
